People have been saying similar things about Castro and he's outlived many who have tried to take him out or assumed he'd eventually fall. Did pretty good for himself.

But this whole thing about the US causing the Earthquake?

I don't see the logic in doing so, because the US now is spending a bunch of money and resources on helping the country (loss of profit to a hard core capitalist nation)..... that and they'd risk having thousands of people from Haiti getting on boats and fleeing to Florida, causeing more of a headache.
