dubyah dubyah: Don't tell nobody this, but we're building this moonbase to ship the moonbats off to. We figure, 'they're MOONbats, so, let's ship 'em to the moon!' clogeroo clogeroo: That is cool a moon base. So who owns the moon then? Or is space just a free for all? Why, Canada owns the moon. Canada owns everything, afterall, including the US. Just ask Mr. Canada. "Never question Canadian coolness!" -Mr. Canada. W.
Canada has her own moon, just take a trip to northern Canada and you'll know what I mean. Thing is,we have scads of diamonds and gold in that moonscape. More then you could ever imagine, couple more decades and we should be able to buy the moon after the Americans have it developed.

I don't know. Once we get Al Gore up there to become emperor of the Moon, it'll only be a matter of time before we start mining moon saphires.

Do you think gangstalking will be a problem there?
I mean like....pretty hard to jingle keys or vibrate floors in that kind of gravity no?

We have that covered here at Stalking Inc, we shall make the air pressure pulse! As well, we have alerted "Laika the Space Dog" to be ready to poo on her hatchway step and piddle on her boots.

I wasn't trying to imply we own it. I'm just wondering does anyone have control over it? Or is it just whomever gets there has access to it? A McDonalds on the moon would be very expensive and wouldn't probably be worth it at least now. I could see the moon as a launching pad to mars and maybe build space ships there because of the lower gravity. Hopefully we don’t screw up space like this planet but knowing people we will.

Whoever gets there first will control it despite all the UN-blather of previous years. If Helium-3 is the fuel source it appears to be then the resources on the moon will be worth tens of trillions of dollars. Wars may be fought up there for control of the resources on it.

Does man ever learn? This Reminds me of a song.
How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? How many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? How many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Pacifism is a fine idea. But so long as someone covets what someone else has it is an impractical concept. The US will go to the moon to develop Helium-3 and someone will inevitably try to either take it away or destroy it out of sheer spite.
It'd be just bloody dandy if there were no more wars, but then the Communists, muslims, and etc. would all have to forswear world domination. Do you see that happening? I don't.

That just spells the doom for the space station...
there just isn't enough money for both.

the US has the capability to help so many people yet they plan to blow a billion dollars on this?
might as well burn $100 bills in front of starving kids.
the arrogance amazes me.
