Yeah, there's no six months off to recover and train between matches in WWE. Even if they're scripted and choreographed the wear and tear on the body is still real. Probably been more rookies quit just from the aches and pains of learning to fall to the mat (rough canvas over plywood supported by large steel springs) the correct way than from getting hurt by a move gone wrong. Three days a week at home and non-stop jet-lag? Not for the weak of body or heart. Like Ric Flair said, Hogan and some of the other top-names might have been flying in Lear jets but the number of miles and amount of travel time they did was still all the same.
