Pushes up the price of that border wall, doesn't it?

BC's premier has responded by proposing to ban transport and shipping of thermal coal through BC.

Forms, palettes, bracing, etc. Though if you did want to build the wall itself out of wood, I'm sure there wouldn't even be a dispute in the first place.

I like it. I like how it goes after American coal, a Trump priority.

Some thought was put into this one.

It's a start.
Huge export duty on logs going to mills in the USA?

Or my preference would be a 50% sales duty on all beer with American brand names.

Wouldn't work. Coors, Miller, Budweiser, Michelob, Busch, (Keiths', Kokanee, Labatt) are all Belgian owned now.

Oh I'm only talking branding not ownership. THey've got Keith's on tap at the local bar but the only bottles on tables (besides the Ricards Red at ours) were Buds and Coors Lites..

You know a lot of Canadian companies opened or bought mills in the USA to get around the rules since the last duty. Playing both sides now.
I think a huge duty on log exports to the USA should be step one.
