Chumley Chumley:
Hey, if these mats are removeable, why not just recall the mats?

Because people are too stupid to think about removing them themselves...

Hell, I haven't driven with mats for ages, because they always curl up and irritate me (yes, I drive old cars )

I had a recall on my car, it just meant that the next time I came in for service they replaced the part, in my case it was a fuse. This recall would just mean the people owning the car go into the dealership and they replace the mats for free. Or fix the problem in some way. So at the end of the day they are just recalling the matts.

On that note, I want ford to recall my matts they suck.

Until my car was recalled I didn't know how easy the process was either. Live and learn. [B-o]

I am sure the recall will cost them a ton of cash though.

Like others on here, I can't believe they had time to get a Toyota up to 200 km/h, let alone make a phone call, and not have the common sense to throw it into neutral and kill the ignition.

Life and death, a car full of people, and all of them have brain freeze that bad? I've had nastier predicaments than that in automobiles and on Bikes/snowmobiles, cool as a cucumber compared to these four. :?

This was more of an operator problem than a problem with the car.

No foot dimmer switches to keep them in place.

Move 'em back to where they belong.
