He was ousted out, and asked to resign, it wasn't voluntary.

When are you going to realize that the torys are anti gay.. if given a majority they will make it a crime to be gay.. and you still want to hitch your horse to that wagon.. you must be the only gay tory in the village :)

EyeBrock EyeBrock:
Very true but it's not looking good for the Libs, despite mucho silliness from Tory candidates. Just shows to me the Libs are doomed.

I do not see a majority now though there was an opportunity to have one. That being said the Liberals have as much a chance at a minority as the cons have at a majority.

Agreed. We still have 3 weeks to go but my feeling is that momentum is building for the Tory's. I'm not being partisan on this, just my own views which have served me well. Last election I knew the Tories would do ok, I didn't think they could hold it together for 2 1/2 years.
Dion is a gift to the Tories and will help in those marginal seats. As I've said before, the Tories suit me at this time and my feelings are apt to change.
The Tories will either get a very big minority or scrape a majority in. Just an educated guess.

Harper is gonna be the main man in Canada for a long while.

The latest in the Nanos rolling poll is in. He's generally the most accurate when it comes to political polls in Canada.

$1:
The numbers in parenthesis denote the change from the previous Nanos Research Survey completed on September 19, 2008.

Question: If a FEDERAL election were held today, could you please rank your top two current local voting preferences? (First ranked reported)

Committed Voters - Canada (N=977, MoE ± 3.1%, 19 times out of 20)
Conservative Party 36% (-2)
Liberal Party 31% (+2)
NDP 20% (+2)
BQ 7% (NC)
Green Party 7% (NC)
Undecided 19% (+1)

The Conservatives have been trending down and the NDP and Liberals have been trending up. Either the gaffes are having an effect or the policies are. I suspect it's a little of both.

BTW, the undecideds are huge, so there could be a sudden movement either way if something really hits the public imagination. For instance, if Jack, Stephane, and Steve get caught having a three-way in a motel, then Steve is more likely to lose votes than than the other two.

A 3 way? Talk about begging for a lawsuit.

Jack would be proud.

Either incredibly juvenile, or out-and-out
moronic statements....hard to tell which, really.

Oops...another Conservative saying things that PM Steve will have to explain

I think as an NDPer you are the last person to criticize candidates goofing up.
