Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: I sorta wish people in my town cared.
Haven't even heard a word of opinion on the prorogue. Not one mention.
Hell politics even. Seems only the Conservatarded cab drivers in this city talk about politics (holding you victim in their vehicle to their ideological bullshit) Didn't you say you forgot about it?

Curtman Curtman: A good time was had by all. Good time, yeah just a bunch of Liberals in one big circle jerk. Who the F&%k cares of Parliament is closed during the Olympics. I think they should force every elected politician to sit through every dam game at the Vancouver Winter Olympics... Patriotism or torture, you call it.

Wow, the respect for the political process of protest is astounding. Maybe we should herd these undesirables into camps.

Well, the people who showed up at the protests to start. They don't care if Parliament is open or closed, they just didn't want to miss an opportunity to bash the Harper government. Let the Hype begin.

Is there any particular reason why ''this'' prorogation is being protested while others before were never contested, whether it be from any other government. Seems like a media creation, or perhaps only some dude on Facebook sure!!! Anyways, there were barely any mention about any previous prorogations, now that the CPC does it, like it's news worthy all of sudden.

Could be, but I suspect it's because there doesn't seem to be a compelling reason for it. Last year, it was to stave off a political crisis. This year, there is no real reason save for the fact that several Conservative senators will be appointed while parliament is shut down allowing for a Conservative majority in the senate. I think a lot of people, including many Conservatives, view that as more of an abuse of the procedure vice reasonable use.

Gunnair Gunnair: So it is. Irony's lost on you apparently. Bury your head much in the sand lately Gunnair? The Liberals prorogued Parliament all the time for self-serving political reasons, like avoiding the Somalia inquiry, to hide from the adscam, and so Jean Chretien could avoid a leadership race with Paul Martin. We are lucky to have a PM who is using this power responsibly. PM Harper is using it to reset his agenda, to pause for the Oylimpic games, and to re-stack the Senate committees with conservative majorities so the Liberals can't stall legislation anymore. The more the Liberals and NDP moan about nothing, the more we see they couldn't be trusted to manage a Lemonade Stand, much less Canada.

Considering most of them are left leaning its no suprise. I don't remember to much of an media coverage or public outcry when Chretien prorogued for the Somalia enquiry and Adscam scandal. Its a way for the left to get together and sing kumbaya Its a joke.
