Cool. Hey, you're in California right? How's the Salton Sea these days? Heard it's quite the tourist trap.
There have been several fixes for the Salton Sea proposed such as:
1. Diverting some of the water for the Metropolitan Water District from the Colorado River to the Salton Sea.
2. Piping treated waste water from the Los Angeles area to the Salton Sea.
3. The least expensive proposal was to build an 80 mile pipeline from the Gulf of California to pipe sea water to the Salton Sea. Even though it's salt water it's less saline than the Salton Sea and it would dilute the salinity levels and restore the lake as a wildlife habitat and recreation area.
None of these ideas have been approved by the Democrats who control 100% of California's government.
