Anyone heard if there's any truth to the claim that Texas is cutting off supply to regular people in order to devote more power to "mining" their own Bitcoin? No one should be surprised in the slightest if that particular bit of utterly cruel idiocy turns out to be true.

If it's true, I'm wondering how they even justify cutting off customers who pay their power bills in full to reroute the energy to Ponzi schem-er, bitcoin mining. Or do they deliberately jack up power bills beyond what poorer people can pay so they can be cut off in favour of the Ponzi schem-er, bitcoin miners?
