This is the crime that the Harperites should do something about. Not expanding prohibition which only helps gangsters to thrive.

"It's unfortunate. This would be a case to really send a strong message of general deterrence to the many gang members wandering the streets of Winnipeg that long term jail is the response by the courts to gang bullying and violence," said Stewart. However, the judge said he expects major proposed changes from the Conservative government will soon give justice officials more power to impose punishment in these types of cases.Read more: http://www.globalwinnipeg.com/Teen+gang ... z1d4qaeqew

Seven months for second degree murder?

Nope. There's good things in the omnibus bill. Too bad they ruined them by lumping them in with horrible legislation.

Yeah, you missed it. That or you're backpeddling furiously because you were caught in a lie.

Oh brother. Speaking of obtuse.

Did I say:

"The Harperites are doing nothing about actual crime, and only doing things that promote gangsterism" ?

No.

The parts of the omnibus bill that deal with this problem effectively had almost unanimous support from the opposition. They should have passed them years ago, at least during one of the last two times they voted for them.

They chose to stall them, and now lump them in with legislation that helps gangsters to increase revenue, and recruit kids.

This is what you said - that the CPC should do something about this but are not. You in no way said,

"This is what the Harperites should do something about and thank God they are though it's too bad they mixed in some other legislation I don't like ."

Nice try. Each post you toss out justifying your fuck up makes you look like a bigger idiot. Man up and admit you were wrong... blinded by your dislike of Harper to the facts of the story.

No. I said they should focus on real crime and not expanding prohibition. There are parts of the omnibus bill that are good. They were a good idea when the Paul Martin government introduced them andthe cons disrupted them. They were a good idea when the cons reintroduced them and then prorogued Parliament killing them. They were still a good idea when they reintroduced them and prorogued AGAIN killing them. They could have resumed the session after each prorogue. They are stalling those pieces of legislation. Now they are lumping them in with legislation that is harmful to their stated goal of reducing violence. Their shinanigans are the reason those bills aren't on the books already.
