No they stood around and laughed. Because their kids.

KIDS should be devastated, crying, yelling for the principal and yelling for help. This is NOT normal behaviour for adults/teachers that should be funny to kids.

Another word for "NOT normal" is funny. Once one person laughs the rest follow suit like sheep.

Another word for not normal is abnormal, as in out of the ordinary. Funny is not even close to describing this.

IMO the teacher was 'over the top' and should be canned. But the bully got an attitude adjustment he won't ever forget, neither will any of the other kids who saw it nor likely any other kids in the school. Hopefully, the 'real good' that comes from this is that 'society' gets control on some of these little bastards before
they get out of control!

This just teaches the bully that might is right. And, don't get caught.

I'm willing to bet that this wasn't the first time the 'little darling' tested the teachers patience. This time, he got a lesson he will nevver forget!

Maybe the teacher had tried in vain to stop this kid. Spoke to the principal, parents other teachers to no avail. Maybe something needed to be done as the other children were to afraid to stand up to him. There's clearly more to the story when a teacher riskes being fired to go after this kid. If the kid comes out of this black & blue maybe the force was excessive. My hunch is thet he's not and it was something that needed to be done.

He had bruises and black eye as a result of this assault. What more do you want???

Absolutely correct but what I'm saying is that I don't think it was that bad. Certainly not from the video.

I am seriously shocked that people condone a teacher doing this to a child.

So yer saying a 40 yr old giving a 13 yr old a black isn't that bad?
You gotta pop someone pretty good to give them a shiner.
Turn up the volume on it, you can hear her connecting with a few of those swings and kicks.
Fuckin' sickening.

Kicked him where? I never said it was OK. What I said was that judging from the video I don't think he was beaten that bad that would give him a black eye. If he was then certainly charges should be laid.

You are sure you watched the video? I certainly saw her kick him at least 2 times...

I saw her kick him in his kidneys while he was on his back on the floor.
If this was an "ordinary" assault on the streets, the attacker would get a court date. This is a teacher-kid situation, which makes it worse, imo.

This whole situationand so many more just like it IS sickening. But it just begs the question "How in the hell was it ever let to get so far??? The answer is what should really outrage people, and generate immediate action!

Nope, and again the lesson is that violence works, just make sure you're top dog around when you're dishing it out. If it's OK for adults to kick the shit out of kids, surely it's OK for kids to use violence on other, weaker kids.

I don't think that is 'the lesson' here at all. I don't think it is 'ok' for anyone to beat on anyone!
However, having been on the receiving end of bullying, and getting no respite from those who should have given it, I took matters in to my own hands. I 'grabbed hold of my own balls with one hand' and beat the bully sensless. To the point of hospital care being required by the bully. THAT certainly got the attention and action of those who I went to with the problem in the first place. Problem solved!

Just to stir the pot a bit... What would everyones response be if this was a male teacher kicking a female 13 year old student?
Or if it was a white teacher kicking a black student?

WHY is this the kids fault? NO MATTER what he did, this is NEVER to be tolerated.

Not from the perspective that Andy is addressing. That being that 'violence isn't the answer to violence'. Sometimes it is.
