PostFactum PostFactum:
Well they have a difficult job, but as I've seen this video I think that she choosed the wrong proffesion.

1. the kid taunted a mentally incapacitated girl

2. this is a school for children with disciplinary problems

3. other teachers stood by and watched.

This is a more informative video.

good for her, exercising her rights under Section 43 of the criminal code....more teachers should emulate this, keep those kids from getting out of control.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Have you ever had the pleasure of a kindergartner swearing at you?

You really never know what kids will 'tolerate'. They view things in odd ways. They like cruel justice, for one, so the bully-getting-a-beating thing sounds sorta realistic.

As far as knowing the reality of human behaviour, respect, and law as a child, I didn't even know it was taboo to beat your child until around 2003. I'm not sure many kids understand specifically what authority a teacher has.

That kid seemed terrified the whole time though.

Are you kidding me? I have 2 kids, I am at the playground every day, I see what kids do and do not do to eachother. Believe me, this is not something I have seen before. If you as a teacher cannot hold your temper, you sure as hell are in the wrong profession.

I didnt say kids should tolerate, I said WE as adults should not tolerate.

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Yep. I spent a fair part of my childhood putting up with assholes who hid behind their degrees and now, as an adult, I have zero tolerance for them.

Most 'teachers' anymore aren't worth the powder and lead to blow them to hell. They just want easy workloads, big paydays, three month paid vacations, and cushy retirements...oh, and don't ask them to teach because that's the parents responsibility, don't you know?

"Most teachers"....'nuff said.

Teasing doesn't justify this crap.

Sure it does... the teacher should have punched the punk in the face.

That boy got OWNED!!

The kid tried to beat up a handicap girl, and the teacher said; "now fight a girl." ...turns out he is a coward and a pussy.

Had it been my kid and I saw her getting slapped around, punched and kicked by a teacher, that teacher would have quickly found herself in an "uncomfortable" position.

IMO the teacher was 'over the top' and should be canned. But the bully got an attitude adjustment he won't ever forget, neither will any of the other kids who saw it nor likely any other kids in the school. Hopefully, the 'real good' that comes from this is that 'society' gets control on some of these little bastards before
they get out of control!

Maybe the teacher had tried in vain to stop this kid. Spoke to the principal, parents other teachers to no avail. Maybe something needed to be done as the other children were to afraid to stand up to him. There's clearly more to the story when a teacher riskes being fired to go after this kid. If the kid comes out of this black & blue maybe the force was excessive. My hunch is thet he's not and it was something that needed to be done.

No they stood around and laughed. Because their kids.

KIDS should be devastated, crying, yelling for the principal and yelling for help. This is NOT normal behaviour for adults/teachers that should be funny to kids.

Another word for "NOT normal" is funny. Once one person laughs the rest follow suit like sheep.
