Why don't they open their own sandwich shops if there's such a strong demand?

Why should i care if a private business alters it's menu to satisfy it's customer base?

Well, if you're a Subway regular, you might worry about it coming here next. No more bacon, it's a travesty. Me, I'm more worried about the mandatory circumcisions once the Muslims take over.

Unsound Unsound:

I wonder if you will say that when they change up YOUR local Subway.

Or you have to go to a special checkout if you want to buy pork or booze.

Or your local supermarket won't stock any pork.

The REAL mistake any Western country makes is permitting Halal butchery in the first place.

Right now I think only Denmark and Switzerland outlaw killing animals without stunning them first.

Besides, even the Koran says you can eat non halal if there is no other choice.

You needn't, but many do, for a number of reasons, beyond just a lack of Ham of Bacon.

As you say, it's up to Subway, but I wonder how sound it is even as a business decision.

The anti-Halal movement is growing.

And the savagery of the butchery is not the only complaint.

When they are able to put enough pressure in enough places to demand food must be certified Halal it gives Halal certifiers tremendous power, and eventually the Halal industry gets a vastly disproportionate amount of control over who works in the food industry.

A portion of Halal money goes to tricky charities that finance terrorists.

There is graft.

Other religions aren't crazy about the demand their food must be prayed over by Mohammedans before they can eat it.

What ever happened to just telling the manager your business is going over to Sam's Sandwich Shop if your favorite sub is no longer available . If the vast majority of customers want pig, and are willing to withdraw their business, than pig will oink again.

The Brits should really be obligated to no longer crack jokes at the French because thanks to their own sick brand of political correctness they've turned into a bigger bunch of surrender-monkeys than the Gauls ever were.

I don't eat subway, so it's all academic to me. I doubt that many stores here wpuld go that route anyways, i suspect they would lose more customers than they gained by going pork free.

No shit. Check this out.

http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign ... exhibition

$1:
Visitors to a London exhibition celebrating freedom of expression this week found plenty of familiar taboo-busting work, from Jamie McCartney’s The Great Wall of Vagina, an eight-foot long cast featuring the genitals of 400 women, to Kubra Khademi’s video of an eight-minute walk she made through Kabul in Afganistan, dressed in lushly contoured body armour. But they will have looked in vain for one work detailed in the catalogue by an artist known only as Mimsy.

So at the "Passion for Freedom" exhibit you can see "The Great Wall of Vagina" exhibit, but you can't see this -

Cause ISIS might think they're being mocked, you see, and this new pussified version of Brit, they 'sca-wed'.

At least the French have topless Femen. More guts than brains when attacking Mohammedan civilization Jihad maybe. But at least they've got guts.

World War Two was the exception, not the rule, when it came to the French. The French rank-and-file have always been incredibly tough. Their main problem was under the last of the Bourbon kings and then again after Napoleon they always were saddled with incredibly poor leadership, especially in the general staff. The Brits had some real wigglers too with their generals but their rot at the staff level didn't seem as endemic as what the French were dealing with. It's hard to judge what the French military is like now since it's been so long since they've seen any major fighting. But their anti-terrorist police are apparently some of the best in the world. Whether or not they've managed to fix that leadership problem in the years since Vietnam and Algeria remains to be seen though.

FFS its a company not a country.
If they took away bacon and ham here, they'd have no customers. Who in hell likes turkey in a sandwich unless its a clubhouse? I hate turkey.
The sad part is they all copy each other and try to underprice by a nickel to get the market share. Hopefully Sam's sandwich shop won't follow along.
AFAIC anyone into following religious dietary restrictions (or Vegan) is fucked in the head.
