Public_Domain Public_Domain:

Perhaps a separate and much larger guide focused on Canadian history would be the best choice here, as those 10 pages really shouldn't be the the extent a perspective immigrant learns about Canadian history. Thin out the Citizen Responsibilities Guide and have a proper guide for the history, something that does it some justice, not summarized as an aside.

don't thin out the responsibilities part, that's more important than history. Exactly how much history does the average native born Canadian know? why expect immigrants to know more? I'd much rather they know how we organize and expect each other to behave in this country, so we don't get those bullshit excuses that they didn't know when an immigrant breaks one of our laws.

Include no clit cutting, not putting women in bags, not doing shady real estate deals, not doing construction on the sly to avoid taxes, and on and on it goes. We're bringing in people who come from much more corrupt areas of the world than us, where corruption is just seen as a normal part of doing business, so some immigrants find us easy pickings. Racist of me to say, I know. And some cultures (not just muslim) need a good lecture on what we at least deem the rights of women. In neither of these areas are native born Canadians pure as snow, but at least we try.
