herbie herbie:
And WTF is with this anti-dairy bullshit? Soy and nut milk are for people who can't drink milk.
We are culturally conditioned to think drinking milk is normal. We are also culturally conditioned to be kind and gentle to animals. These two things are in conflict. Any consumption of animal products means animals have to suffer for it, whether it's long or short term.
Some cultures regard the cow as sacred, and it is not to be harmed. People have died in parts of India because someone thought they might have eaten beef, so a mob beat them to death. Different culture, different rules.
People are under the false assumption that we need animal protein to be healthy and vital. Well, newsflash, protein comes from plants. Animals eat plants, and concentrate the protein in meat. But animals aren't capable of chemically making that protein. The benefit of plant protein is the fats that plants produce are generally good for us, compared to animal fats.
No one is being 'anti-dairy'. We are just showing that there are alternatives that give the same nutritional results, have healthier and kinder outcomes, and are totally tasty.
Use that information how you see fit.
