Gary Bettman is the worst thing to happen to the NHL since the streaking puck for American viewers. He has no business meddling in the day to day operation of any team. He's like Hugo Chavez, he's trying to get his hands in every aspect of the NHL to the detriment of the league.

Bettman is just a mouth piece for the owners. He's just an implementer.

The advice he offered benefits the owners of the Bolts and the NHL as a whole. Letting Vinny go would de-value that franchise to the point of contraction.

How do you figure that?

If the Bolts get enough in return, it might make them a contender again. As it stands now, they have too much tied up in too few players and that means they have no depth and can't compete with other teams in their division, nevermind the rest of the league.

Agreed and we all know that Lord Bettman has decried that no American Team shall be contracted or moved, since it might ruin his self proclaimed legacy.

This guy makes Hugo Chavez seem like Sister Theresa, when it comes to passing edicts, proclamations and interfering in places he has no freakin business.

I just have no faith in that dysfunctional management team to do something effective. There's no reason why a team that good went that bad.
