So what is Heatley worth? It's not like Ottawa would get anything stellar - like a 2 times 50 goals scorer. How is Penner worth Heatley? To a point - he didn't produce when the team needed him (SCF) and he won't get the job done if he doesn't have someone to set him up. He doesn't go in the corners, doesn't fight for the puck, doesn't back-check or forecheck. He's really good at the one timer, but if nobody is there to set him up, he'll be useless...

Yea, give up those players and pay the $4M bonus on top of that.

It's NOT a bonus - it's $4M 'advance' on the rest of his salary - the rest of it is suppose to be paid off during the season. $10M last year, $8M this year and whatever is left over the next 4 years.
