You do not have work authorization

Oh FFS lay off the James Bond bullshit, they banned him over work authorization, some uniformed piggie decided volunteering = work.
There's been a HUGE increase in 5 year bans at the Can/US border lately if you'd ever read the accredited media.

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
I have it on very good authority that it was Kyle's past activism in favor of terrorism and terrorists that got him on a watch list and that have now earned him a five year ban from the USA.

I checked the above claim that the 'good authority' made and independently came across this bit of social media that would substantiate the position of the Border Patrol:

https://gramho.com/explore-hashtag/talkingtoterrorists

Sounds made-up. There’s no such thing as “activism in favour of terrorism” and if that was their concern they would have said so instead of the “work permit “ explanation.

Also liking a book about interviews with terrorists doesn’t mean you support terrorism.

But it is work. Just not paid work. What else would you call it?
Is it a position an American can do?

If so, this uniformed piggie thinks that uniformed piggie is right. Put all the other shit aside, it comes down to two things...
1. Is it a position an American can do?
2. The US is an independent sovereign nation, and we as foreign nationals cannot just go trapezing through a foreign nation doing what we want.

Why would any normal person like to read books that feature in-depth interviews with terrorists? Books plant seeds of thought into people's brains and provoke thoughts on the subject matter being read.

I like to read sci-fi novels, history books, sports biographies, and naval accounts because as a normal person, these things appeal to how I think.

If reading terrorist interviews and related subject matter appeals to someone and helps them to identify with their own thought patterns, I believe it's a bit concerning to say the least.

A growing number of Canadians have been issued travel bans in recent months, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and immigration lawyers contacted by CBC.

I've been reading stories about a growing number of North to South border jumpers. And we all know South to North doesn't seem to be a problem the Trudeau-Ahmed Hussen regime worries about. Who's coming in lately? Is there reason for the Americans to worry.

Here's an interesting one nobody seems to be noticing. If all these travel ban cases are happening and have been happening for awhile why has the CBC selected this one out of the bunch as the one you need to be notified of?

I don't think this one particularly heinous because there's this:

$1:
In an emailed statement to CBC News, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said there are many reasons to issue a five-year travel ban, but they don't discuss individual cases.

which means anybody wanting to claim victim status can make up pretty much any story he wants on this side of the border.

So why does the CBC want to bring this particular story before your eyes? I can't tell you the obvious answer because you'd call me a racist.

The point of the book is not the interviews with the terrorists, but that the conflict will never end if no one ever talks to each other.

I remember a few years ago Henry Rollins caused a stir when he was seen on a plane reading "Jihad".

And here you all go chasing the conspiratorial terrorist tangent and dismissing the obvious 'put a uniform on an asshole' angle.

Did we suddenly stop teaching the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover" or something?

Oddly enough I agree with your. If the US Customs and Border agents are as ignorant and autocratic as ours are this could just be another case of I don't want some idiot kid coming into my country because we already have enough of our own home grown idiots kids.

But that still doesn't mean they don't have every right to deny entry to their country based on any reason they want. So, this kids should STFU and quit trying to embarrass the American gov't with his accusations just so he can assuage his bruised ego because someone had the gall to stop him from doing what HE wanted.

The individual BP agent did not place this kid on a watch list. Someone else did and the BP puke was just doing his job refusing entry to the kid.

The kid is not owed an explanation, there will be no appeal, and hopefully the kid grows up and stops being so fascinated with the perspectives of Islamic terrorists.

They really need to stop responding in such a silly way to something that some panicky idiot thinks they see on a plane:

Knowing Henry Rollins though he probably has lots of other things on his record to justify being booted off a flight.
