I knew at the first glance that something wasn't on the level, but I admit I thought this would be more along the lines of testosterone injections.

If s/he has no ovaries, but has internal testes then as far as I am concerned s/he is a man for all intents and purposes. Therefore he should be disqualified from competing in any women's event and her past results are null and viod. That may sound harsh but hey, that's life.

Yes, but can you imagine all the worldwide GLBT groups deciding to take this cause under their wing if this person wants to identify themself as a woman but the IAAF rejects it? It would make the current case with the women ski jumpers seem like small potatoes.

Oh she can identify herself as a woman, no problem at all. Her tests however will show a too high level of testosterone everytime she is tested. Which means she will be disqualified everytime.
Before (or with "normal" women), an over the limit testosterone level was reason to disqualify. Why would this be any different? Natural or chemical, limits are limits, rules are rules... Too bad...

On a more serious note...This person has probably struggled all his/her (wtf?) life with all kinds of internal battles and psych struggles. Then he/she reaches this level of competition and achievement only to have this exposed publicly.

Being born like this is not something you ask for, that's for sure, and this is a really tough topic to pass judgment on.
