What are they doing?

Shunning responsibility. That's about it.

They allowed the gangs to setup. They denied assisting LEO's to come in and help.

Now they are going to 'evict' the problem onto ROC.

The only thing they are doing is increasing the divide between ROC and First Nations.

They are unwilling to act and will defend them from police, once the gang member is expelled the bands can't challenge the police anymore, at least with this the gang members won't be protected by everyone on the reserve.

Sorry, but the reality you just posted makes zero, I say again, zero sense. Why should the taxpayer have to pick up the cost of processing one of these shits when days before the band mollycoddled the creature becuase of some blatant anti-white agenda?

'The band' has no authority to do anything with them. The RCMP would do something, if the people living nearby would provide evidence of many different crimes that ocurr. Such as the death of the youngster a couple years back, or the death of her aunt next door a couple months ago. Both unsolved crimes.

"The Band" is helpless to do anything, so they are doing what they can and taking away the right to live on a reserve for those causing all the trouble. That puts them in the ROC, were we aren't scared (unlike the Somali community) to drop a dime on gang activity.

The taxpayer should pay, because we already pay. We pay the RCMP to patrol the bands, and do nothing. At least let's pay them to do something, and remove this safe haven for the gangs.

Dr. C, I respect your opinions substantially, but this is a crock of shit.

The band is not 'helpless'.

They needed no help keeping the RCMP out.

They needed no help keeping EPS and CPS out.

They needed no help when they were protecting the gangs.

Now that the gangs have gotten violent to other 'Nation' members...now they need help.

The only people that are helpless in this are Albertan's and ROC, who will be footing the increased bill that is about to arrive.

What is good about this?

Instead of dealing with a problem, let's just push it out onto ROC.

How is this even legal?

What a joke.

Give the band the ability to strip Indian status from these creeps.

It's not a crock. How does the band have any power, right now?

How can they solve crimes commited by gang members?

How are they keeping the RCMP out? (EPS and CPS have no authority on a reservation, it's federal land)

How is the bill going to increase, compared to the cost we already pay?

Every single one of those homicides are still unsolved, as far as I can tell. If no one saw anything (yea, right), then the code of silence is strong there because of the threat of retaliation. Get the bad apples off the reserve. That may be their only hope.

I used to go out there often, some of the businesses in town were my clients. It was a decent place. When last I heard, the AMA wouldn't insure a new vehicle on the reserve because natives turning the age of majority would get their treaty cheque, buy a new car and wreck it in a month.

The place needs some hope. Perhaps this move will give it to them.

You can't be kicked out for being part of a gang... It won't pass.

Did we really expect anything else from a reserve?

They're not banning gangs, they're just saying if you belong to a gang then you can't be part of our community. Wouldn't legally work in any other part of Canada but the Charter isn't exactly 100% applicable when it comes to reserves or Quebec.
