Oh, I'm sorry! My children walk around in my house, I didn't know THAT was against site rules!
So nipples are apparently traumatizing, but cut open people are not. Okay, so noted.
It's funny that you don't even acknowledge those pictures could be highly traumatizing for people, with or without children. If you had any common decency, you would have asked Shep to throw them behind a little black bar, or in a link for people to click. The news wouldn't even show this without a warning.

Brenda Brenda: Breastfeeding women are NOT ALLOWED, but gory pics are? And YOU BLAME ME??? Hey the site is run by men...you should have just assumed this was the case. I agree, there's no need for those kind of pictures here. Keep it classy. Pull them.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: A knife isn't dangerous to police? Think again. Dunno where you got those pics but those types of slashes wouldn't penetrate the vests that police wear and that likely wasn't done by an 11 year old OR to a cop.

Many police around here wear Kevlar and not military grade vests. Knives are still a real danger.

Brenda Brenda: No. Nipples are not traumatizing. Unless it's one of ours.

BionicBunny BionicBunny: Brenda Brenda: No. Nipples are not traumatizing. Unless it's one of ours. They're not traumitizing, just obscene. I cover up my little girl, even though she's not even going to have boobs for several more years. But they are so obscene that I actually have to cover up the spot where they will one day appear. And guys can look at pictures of bloody gashes all day, but post a picture of the oft-bloody gash between a woman's legs and be banned for life! Ironic, n'est-ce pas?

Oh and all this time I was wondering what made you an expert in law enforcement and use of force. Thanks for clearing things up with your credentials.

He was also in Afghanistan, and was attached to the OMLT. You shouldn't forget that part.

I believe the RCMP's taser policy is that they "employ the devices only when they or the public find themselves in danger." Kid running at you with knife = Danger, kid gone nuts running off down the street with a knife = Danger, both = Taser. Tough luck for the kid, life lesson learned.
In our use of force continuum the less lethal options are broken down further and teaser actually comes before use of baton. OC spray comes before taser but if someones running at you there are too many chances the spray won't stop them in time, or hit them the right way.
If the kid ran from the house, ignored orders to stop and continued with a visible knife the zapping was justified. If he stepped out of the house with no visible knife and was not charging at anyone then it was not. However as it was mentioned on the first page of this thread, we don't have that info.
