The Cons are sweating the small stuff...

We'd rather be smoking it.

TBH, I always thought hard labor sentences should be used for drug offenders. Maybe sweating it out on the Alberta tarsands will do them some good.

I have to say it needs to be crimilized. Pot can do very bad things. When my brother was doing it, he lost all of his drive and wanted to do nothing with his life. Ended up getting kicked out of college to poor grades.

Now I say it would be a very large burden to send them to jail, however, I think community service or preferibly hard labor could be a deternant.

theres noway i can say that either is good for you..theyre not..but ppl get drunk and go out and start fights and raise whatever hell they choose to do..ppl who smoke weed tend to be pacified and non-violent..now this whole thing with "medicinal marijuana"...total hogwash!!! and any doctor that prescribes it is a quack....no matter how you look at it youre inhaling carbon monoxide...my doctor wouldnt prescribe it even if i was going to die the next day from cancer or whatever else weed is supposed to heal..its amazing how many ppl forget that back in the 1940s doctors we're actually recommending to patients to smoke tobacco to "help relax and digest your food after a meal"..i've got this feeling this will be one interesting thread

Medical Marijuana is not for actually healing anything, its to "relieve pain".

I have seen what alcohol can do to people, and the effects of marijuana.

In my opinion both should be illegal. Or the % of alcohol in a drink should be limited.

It should be completely legal to grow marijuana for personal consumption.

Pot should be legal period.

Or we could just ban Alcohol and Smoking completely.

The shit Tobbaco companies put in Ciggs is hella more unhealthy then Pot ever will be. If you can smoke unhealthy, we should be able to smoke healtheir too.

The government can put little warnings on the packages too.

"WinterGreen Fresh Blend Cannibus!"

"Warning: Pot Smoking can lead to Happiness, Relaxation, the ability to slow or speed up the passage of time, and supporting the Left-Wing Federal parties of Canada, such as the NDP, Green Party, Liberal Party, Marijuana Party or just may make you give up on politics all together. Politics are boring anyway."

well i was kind of awkward at stating "healing" but that is what i meant..pain relief..but i have to give you credit...by stating both should be illegal clearly indicates you arent a hypocrite

I would like to see what a doctor thinks.

Bureaucrats interferre with doctor-patient confidentiality by recommending medicine allowances

Health Canada: Marijuana Is it safe

Do possession laws make a difference to young people?

Medical Use of Marihuana

MARIHUANA MEDICAL ACCESS REGULATIONS

Considering that all this paper work is having the effect of making prescription drugs the next weed I don't see a legitimate reason for the current set up except political. It's isn't lethal like smoking, it is not manufactured like alcohol and it can be grown anywhere without blowing up a basement like a meth lab. Banning alcohol is a non-starter. I can't understand how anyone would support such an unfeasible approach. Might as well ban air while your at it.
