Sarrah Sarrah:

I actually did give my opinion on how Canada was formed, politically. The First Nations People in the east had as much influence as the French and English. How it evolved over time is another thing entirely.

Opinions don't matter in history - facts do. Demonstrate exactly how Natives "has as much influence as the French and the English" in the East. That's ahistorical nonsense in light of the fact that you'll have a difficult time demonstrating their influence on Responsible government, the Act of Union, Ontario's push for Confederation, the BNA Act, MacDonald, etc. Unless you've got something tangible, save it as this isn't about opinions it's about history

It has been said by many over time. History is written according to who won. Not necessarily how it came to pass.

It's been said by those that have absolutely zero idea as to how modern historical narrative occurs. Please illustrate how history, in this case, was allegedly written by the winners. Let's see you start backing up some the stuff you put out. And while you're at it, i'm assuming you'll provide us with a standard historiography regarding the topic. It's time to put this silly notion to the test.

European influence. Absolutely. But not the only influence at all. Not in the beginning. Later on I believe control by Europeans was taken and that is when the First Nations people lost their rights in North America. When there became more Europeans the rules changed. But not all of them.

Huh? Natives had rights?!?!? When exactly? At the same time women did?!? Or how about other disenfranchised? Do you have any idea what you're even talking about? Let's see some tangible examples - you seem fond of throwing out these rather vague, ahistorical muses but where's the objective fact? You've done absolutely nothing to legitimatize your points other than post pure conjecture. If this is the prevailing mindset, it's no wonder Canadians are so lost on the subject.

Same thing going on today. It is the ebb and flow of life. Like the sea.

Nope, but thanks for trying. It is like every rose has its thorn, just like every night has its dawn, just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song, every rose has its thorn
