This is an awful situation - surely a Provincial Judge with appropriate Liberal leanings can be found so this young man doesn't spend any longer than necessary behind bars - after all, he could be out and about and attending similar parties - unlike the young man he murdered. . . .

Well, S. 515(10)(c) of the Criminal Code is meant to keep people behind bars pending trial if it were believed releasing him would have people lose confidence in the judicial system.

Judging from these reactions, I don't think the provincial Crowns are going to have too strenuous a time keeping Jr. McMurderpants in the slammer. Any doubts and I imagine one good photo from the crime scene ought to dispel them.
