That you don't eat meat, do you think meat should be banned? Taht you don't drive a car, do you think cars should be banned?

Who the hell are you to tell me what I can or cannot do to or with my body?
I have the right to CHOOSE to put a tattoo or 12 on there, I have the right to choose not to. Whether you like it or not. Same goes for abortion. I have the right to choose.

A sick kid cannot choose to die. Nor to be kept alive when in coma. That is what parents are for. To make sure it can die in dignity when need be. Without suffering. But I take it you are against euthenasia too?

Henry Morgentaler, the country's best-known abortion-rights crusader, has been named to the Order of Canada, the country's highest honour.

Governor General Michaëlle Jean on Tuesday announced 75 new appointments to the Order of Canada. The new appointees include five Companions, 26 Officers, and 43 Members, as well as one Honorary Officer.

Dr. Morgentaler was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada. He was awarded “for his commitment to increased health care options for women, his determined efforts to influence Canadian public policy and his leadership in humanist and civil liberties organization,” the Governor General said in a press release.

Even before the official announcement, the fact that Dr. Morgentaler's name attached to the highest honour in the land ignited a firestorm of controversy, with online blogs, people opposed to abortion and pro-choice supporters wading into the Order of Canada committee's decision.

The appointments, made on the recommendations of the Advisory Council on the Order of Canada, have been in effect since April 10, the Governor-General's office said in a news release....

I thought this thread was about the order of Canada or something? I don't think anyone is trying to reverse abortion rights. Some people just feel there are people that deserve it more.

As opposed to the right wing politicians who come out when somebody they want to be tack themselves onto gets the OoC?

Your theory is based on partisan hackery and if you would actually care to investigate you'll find that even if it were political in nature it originated from the NDP, the party whom Morgentaller associated himself with.
