Now that would be sport! Catch your moose, bundle it live on your quad and drive it to the slaughterhouse to have it killed.
Even more sportsmanlike if it was a BEAR....

Let them have their sacrificial lamb, they've been the right's sacrificial lamb for years.

What's wrong with slaughtering lambs? The New Zealanders do it daily. There's nothing wrong with the Muslims slaughtering lambs and there's nothing wrong with Ottawa asking them to adhere to local regulations in doing so.

As to Gunnair's question of hunting, I think that's illegal in the Ottawa city limits, too.

In their homeland maybe, but not here. In Canada we have regulations about the killing of animals and that is for health reasons and the protection of the public. The meat packing plants have enough trouble keeping listeriosis and salmonella out the the process. And besides these twits want to do it in their back yards. NO thanks

In case you missed it, the meat is for a festival and is used for personal consumption, it isn't for retail so the meat plant analogy doesn't hold.

Want to make it a true sport? You get a knife. Now go take the moose/bear down.

Nope...a new requirement for any new immigrants coming into Canada. If they're under 12 they are given a white tail deer/black bear. 13 and older it has to be an elk or a grizzly(sow with cubs).
