this isn't surprising. Ont is just pissed that their lack of effort in resolving numerous issues has failed miserably and they like to deflect the blame to someone.

Flaherty is simply stating the obvious. I can't believe morontonians voted that jerk and his party back in...you get what you vote for!

I guess what Ontatio wants...Ontario gets. Just like Newfoundland they take and take and take why should they change with the times?

I am tired of my money disappearing down a black hole.

Each of us should adapt to the changing economics and not expect government hand-outs!!!

Ontario a black hole, we take and take and never give? are you retarded?

I disagree with McGuinty on this but come on man have some common sense. Ontario has been giving and continues to give to this countries economy, just because the province has encountered a slow down does not mean Ontario's economy blows.

typical westerner who blames the east for everything, get your head out our ***

I am so tired of how Ontario feels so entitled that the Feds should make everything so easy for them when the rest of us have had to bust our asses to crawl out of our economic hardships.

The big problem with Ontario is high taxes, unions and a lrge Ego!!!

ugh, feeling dragged in through a natural knee jerk defensive reaction.

Just Toronto's economy is pumping over $12 billion a year more into federal coffers then it receives back. Even just 2 billion a year less difference would have a huge impact on renewing aging infrastructure, settlment planning for new canadians, improvements to transit all to keep the money flowing in so that Ottawa can disperse it to fund development elsewhere in the country...

And furthermore regarding you get what you vote for... in fact less then half of Ontario voted for the Government. And Ontario definitely in the last federal election did not select a majority of conservatives.

The majority of people never get what they votes for, that's the reality of the current electoral process.

This bickering between Ottawa and Ontario will only undermine the Conservatives. Then add in Harper's threat to sue for libel and it looks like the CPC has decided the being the Opposition is preferable.

thats what Dalton Mcguilty's plan is....surprised

No other provincial government is in cahoots with a federal party as Dalton's is....as well as Toronto's city council.

Whether it's Dalton's plan or not, Provinces almost always win their constituents favour in Province vs Federal battles.

well this is not surprising , dalton wants to be viewed as a hero of toronto . and his caucus is all big time supporters of the federal liberals . many picked sides and helped out during there last federal leaderhsip race.
so he is more than likely just trying to help them out by starting stuiped little fights with ottawa .
