One more reason not to support Hollywood... haven't been to a movie in 10 years.

Hollywood Liberal hypocrites can suck it.

Yeah, anyone who has ever used fossil fuels should never advocate for clean energy. Once you burn your first litre of oil, that's it, the assimilation is complete.

Any attempt to advocate anything other than the total destruction of the environment as quickly as possible is just hypocrisy.

Like environmental hero Al Gore with his frequent use of private jets and multiple luxury homes.

He's really trying to reduce his carbon footprint.

Not all of them yet.

Leonardo DiCaprio sells off Malibu vacation home
http://www.lfpress.com/2013/12/30/leona ... ation-home

Luckily he can only live in one at a time.

Does this make his message any less valid ?

Does someone have to eat out of a garbage can before we take them seriously about ending child poverty ?

He has a strong following and is bringing attention to a worthy cause. He has oodles and oodles of money and doesn't need to spend his time doing what he is doing but does it because he thinks it is the right thing to do. I respect that.

I hope he is not deterred by idiots with a big oil agenda trying to smear him.

$7 Million could have got him another pretty nice home, instead he chose to do his part. Good for him.

Leonardo DiCaprio Donates $1 Million For Haiti Relief

Sounds like walking the walk to me.

 However, DiCaprio still has reason to celebrate - he paid just $6 million (£4 million) for the 1927 home in 2002, according to...

oh that poor bastard. If you're that rich you can afford to fly around the world telling people how to live their lives.

Or be wealthy. Only the homeless can advocate for the environment. Earning money is a no-no.

Or what about the evil Elon Musk flogging electric cars on us while he blasts things off into outer space? Spawn of Satan!

Does it bother you that he made a profit ? Helped him pay for the multiple millions he has spend on worthy causes though, didn't it ?

Practice what you preach. Don't expect others to buy into something you're selling if you don't yourself.

Elon Musk is in the business to make a buck. His luxury cars won't save the Earth nor does he claim they will.

If we could shove 20 million dollars in everyone's bank account we could all quit our jobs and become enviro shills.
