In fact most of what was written in the old testiment is complete BS. I would suggest reading The Bible Unearthed. Written by Silberman and Finkelstein and it is one of the best examples of proof against self interest there is.

To summarize, there is NO archaeological evidence to support the exodus, the wondering or anything else. Don't take my word for it, these two from Tel Aviv University are highly regarded in the Archaeological community and had all the motivation and time to prove the 'title deeds' of Israel. And they fell well short, in fact they found evidence that would be contrary to common thought at that time.

Just another example of how man created many gods and religions. It's time to emancipate ourselves from this mind forged manacle.
