Meanwhile, in the real world. Oil has dropped about 20 dollars in the last few months without any drop whatsoever in gas prices at the pump.

Yes but:

The refineries are

a. Broken and need repair................yet again;
b. Are shut down for maintenance.............again.

The cost is increasing because of:

a. A giant demand for fuel by yak herders in Ethiopia,
b. Indian Call center employees are now powering their telephones with gasoline
c. Al Gore is pressure washing his California Beach Front home.

The real reason is:

We can charge you what the fuck we want and there's not a thing you can do about it. So like we told that annoying Senate Committee a couple of years ago.

Suck it up or you can start walking.

Why walk when you can ride a bike?

I don't know where you live but we've seen about a 20 cent/litre DROP in prices!

Yep, gas prices have fallen in Edmonton too - by at least 10 cents over the past couple months.

What shocks me the most is this 20 cent drop has been in the last 10-14 days!

The drop could have been faster, but I don't know, I only fill up once every three weeks or so...gotta love the TDI!

It has been 128.9 since it rose from 122.9 in December here.

Must be nice, it's in the mid 140's here. The only good thing is it hasn't kept going up the way it looked to be about a month ago.

Fuel prices tend to stick at higher levels partly because governments like it that way. The higher the price of fuel is the more tax revenue they receive (and the happier their anti-petroleum radical leftard constituents are). Therefore, asking government regulators to 'do something' about fuel prices is like asking Bobby Brown to 'do something' about crack.

I feel sorry for you folks in BC, it's $1.11 today here! I think I'll go top up everything that needs topping. 8)

It works out to US$1.05 per liter for premium which is what I paid this morning.

The cheapest gas in California right now is US$3.67 per gallon or about $.92 a liter.
