ASLplease ASLplease: that hippy bitch needs to grow the fuck up and learn the concept of 'protest with a purpose'.......instead she turned her focus on the closest authority figure. Actually, no, he was not the closest authority figure until he made himself so. He sought out a confrontation and now he's a whiny, pathetic little baby because he's getting trashed online. Too bad, little Mr. Poopypants, you don't get to make a public spectacle of yourself and then expect not be made a public spectacle. Oh, yes, I live in the USA where you get to parody and malign public figures. Also, on the matter of the cartoons this idiot has run afoul of a fine point of law: The cartoonist can argue that the similarity is coincidental and then the officer has to prove that he's the character in the cartoons.

ASLplease ASLplease: EyeBrock EyeBrock: I have a good memory. You posted this on the 6th October 2010;
"Eyebrock, what makes you different compared to other imigrants that haven't made it to canada?
Would you be open to an anti-imigration policy that goes back and repeals your status in Canada?
If stopping new imigrants from coming in is a good thing, then surly we would see a benefit in sending you back to your homeland, no?"
Sending me back or suggesting I go back to England are pretty similar but then we do have differing grasps of the language of Shakespeare. asking you how you would feel is NOT the same. its a pretty wide open question, you could have taken the opportunity to share your views, instead you hide behind the idea that i told you to go way. let me rephrase this.... imagine that you are at a job interview and someome asks "Why should i hire you?" if instead of getting excited and answering the question, you took offense to it. does that mean that the interviewer shouldn't have asked? Asked if I should go back to my own country? I'm not at all excited by your suggestions I got back to whence I came, just like I didn't get excited by your offensive posts on hockey players with learning difficulties. To get back on thread, I'm still waiting to hear your rationale for thinking Bubbles' approach on dealing with, (and I'll use your words) the 'hippy bitch' is more preferable than officers maintaining a professional stance while being provoked by protesters looking to get a rise out of the cops.

wow, i didnt mean to get under your skin, i asked you how you would feel about anti-imigration stance (that you were supporting, not me) IF it should go so extreme that it would send you back to your country. if that hurt your feelings, i am very sorry. you have to admit that it was a pretty good question

Zipperfish Zipperfish: diggerdick diggerdick: thank you for your opinion, I will take that into consideration.
and will get back to you. I didn't ask you to consider it, I told you to modify your opinion. Now apologize, then fuck off. perhaps a slight adjustment in your medication may be in order. and have your mother, wash your mouth out with soap. have a nice day.

it was a wide open question that provided you with full oppotunity to explain you anti imigration views, i apolize for providing you with such a great opportunity. i am so sad that even after apologizing and explaining it to you, you are still incapable of burrying your ego long enough to acknowledge that you could have handled the situation better.

@ASL - you were outraged when you heard about Vancouver passing a law to ban smoking in parks to stop smokers blowing smoke in peoples faces. Yet you weep for this officer because he might have got a soap bubble in his face?
Some of the right wingers on this forum really seem to be "good Germans" ie the police can do no wrong, ever. The anti-digger dicks I guess, or ADDs for short.

I'm not anti-immigrant. I think we need to revisit our refugee policy, rethink the whole family class issue and look towards immigrants who will add to our society and culture, not resent it.
We should be choosing the best not just letting special interest groups dictate who gets in. Immigration should benefit our country, not incur a negative financial and societal cost.
We should be able to have open and honest debate without the fear of being branded a ‘racist’, ‘anti-immigrant’ or any other of the labels freely thrown out by those who don’t want to hear anybody else’s point of view.
It would be nice to debate the real issue without being told to ‘go back to my own country’ too.
