OnTheIce OnTheIce: andyt andyt: Wow, you heard it here folks. OTI is in favor of government waste of tax dollars. Who's actually the troll in what's written above?
Nice try putting words in my mouth. Troll on Andy...surely you could put all this time you spend trolling to helping those in poverty. If you can quite frothing at the mouth and making personal attacks for a bit, explain to me how what I wrote was trolling?

We're talking occupy movements being told to leave, then you jump into governments wasting money after someone says moving these a-holes is a waste of money. Then, as we're all aware, you'll throw in your $0.02 on how that wasted money could have been spent on those in need. And the circle jerk continues. Imagine the difference you could have made andy if you spelt 1/2 the time you do on here helping the people you claim to be in support of. All talk. No substance. No action.

Newsbot Newsbot: You know, for the mass & the mess, their leaving having not made an impression except on the environmental conditions will end in a whine and whimper or possibly a sucking sound as air rushes in to fill a vacuum.

Yep, putting it into context. Pretty minute compared to other government waste. Or the handouts to industry and tax write offs to industry and the 1 percent.

They leave having made no impression except on environmental conditions which they besmirched. Their leaving will be with a whine and whimper except perhaps for a sucking sound as air rushes in to fill a vacuum.

(wiki) $1: Political Brazil On 15 October 2011, President Dilma Rousseff said, "We agree with some of the expressions that some movements have used around the world [in] demonstrations like the ones we see in the US and other countries."[177] Canada On 15 October 2011, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty expressed sympathy with the protests, stating "There's growing worry about a lack of opportunities for the younger generation — particularly in the United States — and it's up to governments to ensure youth are able to capitalize on their education and find good jobs." He later commented, "I can understand some legitimate frustration arising out of that."[178] India On 19 October 2011, Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, described the protests as "a warning for all those who are in charge of the processes of governance".[179] United Kingdom On 21 October 2011, Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the protests were about fairness. "There are voices in the middle who say, 'Look, we can build a better financial system that is more sustainable, that is based on a better and proportionate sense of what's just and fair and where people don't take reckless risks or, if they do, they're penalized for doing so.'"[180] On 6 November 2011, Opposition leader Ed Miliband "The challenge is that they reflect a crisis of concern for millions of people about the biggest issue of our time: the gap between their values and the way our country is run." He mentioned that he is "determined that mainstream politics, and the Labour Party in particular, speaks to that crisis and rises to the challenge".[181] United States On 16 October 2011, President Barack Obama spoke in support of the movement, though also asked protesters not to "demonize" finance workers.[52] Local authorities in the United States have collaborated to develop strategies to respond to the Occupy movement and its encampments, and political leaders in eighteen United States cities consulted on cracking down on the Occupy movement, according to Oakland Mayor Jean Quan, who participated in a conference call.[182] Within a span of less than 24 hours, municipal authorities in Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, Oakland and New York City sent in police to crack down on the encampments of the Occupy movement.[183]

andyt andyt: Brenda Brenda: What a waste of time and tax payers money. You're right. But then so was the new roof on BC Place, the Convention center, etc, paying David Hahn's 300k a year pension, paying the legal fees of Virk and Basi, etc etc. The convention center and the roof on BC Place was not a waste, it's a shame you can't appreciate them..

andyt andyt: Gunnair Gunnair: Holy smokes, I agree! Where we disagree is that I think Occupy may have a slim chance of transforming into something that does bring about positive change. Letting Jimmy Pattison write off his yacht as a business expense, not so much. So you hate Jim Pattison because he was able to make a life for himself?
