It's sort of amazing that the hate-Obama types demanded that he quit this church but as soon as he does the new rant comes up that it still isn't good enough. I doubt that Obama is losing sleep over it. These folks wouldn't vote for him anyhow no matter what he did to placate them so he shouldn't waste time even bothering to address their paranoia.

A nice opposite reaction would be for the same people to demand that the psychotics in the Christian far Right get the hell out of the Republican Party but (snicker!) we all know that ain't going to happen. Obama's rock n'roll racist pastor? It's the end of the world! Falwell/Hagee/Robertson/Swaggart/Westboro Baptist? well of course he is going to resign from it as its causing him trouble in his bid for president and going to cost him alot of votes .
the problem for me is that he still did attend these rather controvercial churches during alot of his life and they clearly played a role in shaping his views.

i really don't buy into the idea that his living now clears this problem up .

I personally don't think he should have left the church.

I don't care about the controversy around the church and it's pastor, I just care that he sold out his beliefs. Kinda disappointing.

Still hope he wins though.

well i don't buy into the idea that a person can just leave a church all of a sudden and everything is fine. mean a person goes to a church for a longtime and it plays a role in there life .
you just can't walk out all of a sudden and be a different person with different views than the week before when you attended the church . it just doesn't work that way .
