I really don't see what's so wrong with Quebec having to play hardball to preserve their way of life.

So if natives use distasteful tactics to preserve their culture, it's ok then?
I smell a double standard here. So far he's said what's not ok for anyone else is perfectly acceptable for Quebec.

Nonono. If Quebec resorted to violence or extremism then of course it'd be wrong. For example, I believe the Quiet Revolution was wrong. I'm not the double-standards type of guy. 8)
So you would be happy if Native held territories forced all signage to be mainly in "native" tongue and in the RoC French could completely abolished??? :D

Don't tell Self I stole her av Bear.

I hate to admit this but I kinda of admire Quebec for holding on to it's culture and language, the rest of Canada seems to think we have no culture that is unique to Canada. I don't agree, natives have a distinct culture and I think the combination of many cultures has meshed together to form a distinct "Canadian" culture. I wish the naysayers would visit Cape Bretain and NFL and come back and tell me they don't have a unique culture and language. In parts of NFL I couldn't understand a word they said, not one single word.

Ouch. XD

Well, technically Canada is a 'bilingual' country. Well, I think we can all tell what a 'stop sign' says because of its shape/colour. But yes ouch.
