""We can do better" is a slogan with more than a little history behind it in U.S. politics. Barack Obama used it a few times as a candidate (though not as often as his signature "Yes We Can"), but he was hardly the first American politician to invoke it.
For instance, then-Senator John F. Kennedy used the phrase dozens of times in his speeches as a presidential candidate in 1960, as a taunt against his Republican opponent Richard Nixon (and by extension President Eisenhower, Nixon's boss).
meh. His slogan could be "kiss my ass" and I'll still vote for him if the platform is decent. But we haven't seen that yet.

"US style", didn't realize slogans were unique to the US.

He won't be here long anyway, once he loses the next election he'll hightail back to Harvard where he should have stayed put in the first place.

If they could do better, why didn't they when Chretien & Martin were in power? So is this the year we finally get the nationalized child care that Chretien promised?

I think I'm going to start neg-repping people that perpetuate the "Iggy is American" bullshit, on principle. It just identifies those, on the forums, that have low enough intelligence to actually believe the bullshit lies presented in attack ads.
