Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Over 60% of the people didn't vote him in.
Semantics. More people voted for the Conservatives than any other party.

The disillusionment the counrty as a whole has with the torys .. esp. harper

Come on man, get your head out of the sand. We've had Liberal governments in BC for three terms. The NDP is slowly picking up support, and yet support for the Conservative government is steadfast. Wake up, this is a provincial election you're commenting on.

I'm talking federally.. but there is a backlash provincially when people are pissed with the feds.. like Ontario .. when the cons are in power in ottawa its usually a lib provincial and vice versa..

And it might be unbelievable, but there are a lot of people who don't know the difference between provincial and federal .. like people who think the liberal party of Canada and the liberals in Quebec are the same... not! big difference there.

i can only hope that they've only polled the few, and that the silent majority will show more restraint

In all seriousness I don't give these advance polls much consideration. They are to easy to manipulate. I can easily for see the NDP increasing in popularity but to the point of forming a majority government....not likely. Perhaps after the votes are in I'll be eating these words. I don't think I'll get the salt shaker out of the cupboard just yet though.

my god, would you give it a rest already. If everyone was so unhappy with harper they would not have voted for him TWICE. Give it a rest. This article is about the NDP in the east, not your turn to get jabs in at the government because you don't like them. Your views are well known and no one cares already.

Over 60% of the people didn't vote him in.

you can't sum up all parties votes like that, I am afraid statistics does not work like you think it does. If you want to go that way, then 75% didn't vote NDP and 65% didn't vote Liberal. Feel better?

You have to loose that coalition mentality Ken, the dream is over.
People have voted TWICE, otherwise they wouldn't be in power, minority or not.
