he will be discharged. the military wont keep an individual whom has killed another canadian soldier. doubtful that he was shooting in self defence. i have 5 years within the CF and i have worked with many reservists and not all of them but about 90% of them just want to play army and think it is wicked to play with guns. and unfortunatley it ended one of their lives. and when civilians read this they will think of this as a whole within the canadian forces, when really our regular force combat arms specialists are extremley responsible when it comes to weapons safety. granted there are always a few bad apples. but the rest of the men within the forces usually set them straight before something stupid happens

I mean his excuse was that he heard a gun click and he reacted in self defense?
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't he in a tent with fellow troops in a decently secure area?
Did he think it was the fk'n enemy and sneaked all the way through their defenses and right to him and was going to kill him while surrounded by all his buddies??

They were being idiots, they knew better, one of them died and he shot the killing bullet...... when you join the military, there are laws for that sort of crap. There`s laws in our own civilian courts over that crap..... but the military and everyone else should consider this as serious of an offense as it really is.
A military firearm is not a friggin toy, it`s not your old Super Soaker 50 you grew up with. They're designed to kill and should be treated as such.
And the fact that this twerp pulled that lame ass excuse and didn't grow a pair and be a man, ie: take responsibility for his own actions; then toss the damn book at him and give him a few years to think about it where he belongs.
The military isn't a frigging game and if people think it is, don't join up. You'll be doing our military and our troops a favor.
