PublicAnimalNo9 PublicAnimalNo9:
YOu may be right boot but if religion didn't exists, we'd find something else to blame.
Although I certainly can't argue that too many "Christians" seem to be stuck in the Judeo ethic and forget about the Christian part of it all.

Right Arm. That's because being a Christian is fucking really hard to do.

Not really andy. It's actually real easy. As long as one doesn't get bogged down in all the stupid semantics or the bullshit dogma about this or that Church being the one true Chruch. Heck by the time I was 16 I realized there was a WORLD of difference between religion and faith. Hence why I haven't attended church in almost 30 years but still retain my faith and belief.

It's kinda funny when I think back now, we had an interim minister at our church for a while. My mom disliked him strongly because he didn't really believe the Old Testament for the most part and considered the bulk of it to be allegorical.

Yet, years later, I came to the realization that while I didn't necessarily agree with his POV on the O.T., he had the right idea. Most churches I find, focus too much on the O.T. and spend not near enough time on the teachings of Christ. Which is where the REAL meat and potatoes (or bread and wine if you will) of the faith lies.

"Turn the other cheek." "Give away all that you have and follow me." "Take the narrow road." "Many are called, few are chosen." "The Kingdom of Heaven is within." Fucking tough to do - at least for me, and from what I see, many others.

EVEN if you don't find the first four rules to your liking, the last five seem good rules to live by.

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

And in addiction few

1)Muslim will never kill you if you were eating with him from one table

2)You will be never killed in a muslim house, to make human blood in home is the shame.

3)He can't do anything bad to you if you've called him "brother".

5 is a good idea too. Actually 1 is makes sense too. If there is a personal God, I doubt there's more than one, so in a way it's a redundant statement. But if you take it to mean gods like money, or power or pride, ie putting yourself before God, then I have no problem with it.

But the "shall nots" are the easy part. Jesus was talking about what to actually do if you want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The stuff about do anything you want as long as you believe in Him I think was added by his followers - Jesus was a much tougher cookie than that.

Fundies is a CKA slang for Fundamentalist Islamic Nut Jobs, the
type of folks such as the underwear bombers, loud mouths, women
who like to wear the niqab face mask, and basically any
Fundamentalist Fundamentalist we don't like.

Oh, no, I've been using it wrong. I've way more often used it to denote Christian fundamentalists. The Islamists I usually just call jihadists, since they take their fundamentalism and actually act out on it.

EXCELLENT POINT !!!!!!

Lets change the meaning of the word to be any religions fundamentalist
Islamic, Christian who is either a lying thieving weasle, needs
serious psychiatric help or we just don't like on general principle.
