It’s far more likely that something was paid as a settlement that might have allowed this moron to keep his job? That information is almost never released to the public, but happens frequently.

Regina Regina: If he's going to stay on the job.......I wonder if two or three years working out of Tuktoyaktuk would settle him down? meh, could probably add alcoholism to help fuel his rages.. but lets try and find out

Pseudonym Pseudonym: Seems like a bit of an anger management issue. Are there regulations to make him take classes, or a three-strike rule, or something? It's not really good for the RCMP's image, so moving him to a less... confrontational role might be in their interests. I think some sort of pencil pusher job might do the trick.

Fire this guy. The Mounties really are losing the plot here.
They need to sort out their bad image and this guy would be a good example.
He's a known loser, fire him and make an example or carry on looking crappy in the Canadian public's eyes.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Lemmy Lemmy: In hockey, it's a match penalty, attempt to injure. Should be the same here. Actually Lemmy it's a Gross Misconduct, not a match. It carries the same sort of penalty which is decided by the league. Don't ask how I know this. Uhhh, no it's not. I'm a Level 3 referee. I've completed several Match Penalty reports for incidents of spitting. Spitting is a MATCH PENALTY, not a gross. You're dead wrong here. If you'd like some reading, check out: http://www.omha.net/admin/downloads/200 ... Manual.pdf It's pretty clear that spitting is a match penalty.

Oh, come on now people, you really are missing a big picture here. This is kind of a step up as far a Mountie behavior as of late. Just think about it, That motorist, could have been tasered to death. Spitting vs Taser, there is a silver lining to this tale. (damn cup half empty kinda people anyway.....)

A few idiots doesn't mean all the RCMP are bad news. It's a rather narrow view of the situation and I'd rebutt with saying you are missing the big picture here and focusing your views on 3 or 4 instances in a Force of 27,000, spread across the country.
The RCMP officers who have screwed up should be held accountable and the RCMP brass need to be proactive and transparent on this it will all go away.
Deal with the idiots like this spitter.

and until they do, EB, the entire RCMP gets painted.
Why ??
cause he is still there, getting his pay and pension and no problems.
We both know the police wont actually do anything, to him or a couple hundred others down the years..
Dont tell us, tell the RCMP.

But there is 3 or 4 each month and that does not take into account the ones that the rcmp are able keep from the public or coverup with there years of experience......The protection of their members and the rcmps good name has caused a very large amount of the Canadian people to lose trust in them......... And with out the trust of people they are just another large gang trying to control the streets..... I found a stolen new burnt dodge truck out in the bush , and had to show the cops where it was because of how far back and hidden it was........ They sent a 5foot 2inch girl 110 pound girl who was maybe 22 years old....I could feel the fear , and how scared she was being out there... I did not really feel any trust in her and had to escort her both in and out for HER own safety.....

Dont tell us, tell the RCMP. Indeed... them allowing to keep his arse on the payroll and back on the streets shows their level of tollerance for such action. Apparently the RCMP are in a class all their own from the rest of us low-life simple folk who'd not only have the book thrown at us.... we'd be beaten with it (Doesn't cause as much brusing as a club, boot or fist )
