$1: Former equal rights chief Phillips, who speaks to several members of the Muslim community on their views during the documentary, states that 'the integration of Muslims will probably be the hardest task' the country has ever faced.
He told The Sunday Times Magazine: 'I thought Europe's Muslims would gradually blend into the landscape. I should have known better.
'Britain desperately wants us to think of its Muslims as versions of the Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, or the cheeky-chappy athlete Mo Farah.

Wow. More than half of 4.6% (3 million) of Britain's population think gay sex should be outlawed. I wonder what the attitudes of the 26.8% (85.4 million) evangelical population of the US are towards gay sex? $1: Should gay sex be illegal? 16% of Britons think so. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho ... 61358.html$1: On Tuesday, MSNBC's Chris Matthews interviewed Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council about the U.S. military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy (DADT). Sprigg, FRC's senior fellow for policy studies, said he would support banning all gays or lesbians from serving in the military. At the end of the discussion, Matthews asked Sprigg his view of homosexuality in civilian life:
MATTHEWS: Do you think we should outlaw gay behavior? SPRIGG: Well, I think it's certainly defensible. MATTHEWS: I'm just asking you, should we outlaw gay behavior? SPRIGG: I think that the Supreme Court decision in Lawrence v. Texas, which overturned the sodomy laws in this country, was wrongly decided. I think there would be a place for criminal sanctions against homosexual behavior. MATTHEWS: So we should outlaw gay behavior. SPRIGG: Yes.
Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association agreed with Sprigg. Citing policies and findings of the Federal Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control, Fischer concluded that homosexual behavior should be criminalized because it "represents an enormous threat to public health." http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/201 ... -51.0.html$1: This Right-Wing Legal Powerhouse Wants To Make Gay Sex Illegal http://mediamatters.org/blog/2014/11/19 ... ake/201629

Andys point is that the Muslim fundamentalists are just like the Christian fundies. But because Muslims are the new untermenschen, we're supposed to clutch our pearls at the scary others while ignoring the equally scary people we already know in our midst.

'Britain desperately wants us to think of its Muslims as versions of the Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, or the cheeky-chappy athlete Mo Farah. So in other words UK Muslim views on gays are no different than the Christian religious right and the vast majority of Muslims (more than 75%) don't support Sharia law. Sounds like Muslims actually are like that baking winner and athlete after all, no?

Flips out about Christian fundie with a protest sign yelling about gay marriage at passing cars, says that the Muslim fundies who blow up restaurants with suicide bombers "are, when you think about it, the real victims in all of this". Yup, just another day on the left, brought to you by the best harvesters of low-hanging fruit the world has ever seen.

They just sit with their hands over their ears (eyes) going la la la la.
