Don't worry uwish: it'll all blow up in the inquiry ....or during the next election. Like everything else this'll blow up in the LPC's faces.

It was a blog, it is a blog, and it's gone again

I am tired of oppositions opposing for the sake of opposing because they are the 'loyal' opposition. What is worse than that? is a former sitting government blaming the current for something that happened on their watch.
Pathetic.

Wow. This is pretty astounding actually. If this gets to be mainstream knowledge in the next couple of months I predict that all the outrage the Liberals have been generating will turn on them 100%.

I'm not sure what the big problem is with discussing blogs on this forum? Can't access the link.
But, we all know the libs were involved in the initial prisoner transfer policies (if that's what this topic is about). Chretien did not want to hand over prisoners to the Americans, even tho they had built a jail just for that purpose, and the prisoners would presumably be treated better. (After Abu Ghraib that's a big assumption). But the scandal isn't the policies, it's the attempted cover up and silencing of the inquiry and denigration of Colvin. Presumably the libs know that they also didn't do right by the prisoners - but at least they are wanting the truth to come out. So this may all not backfire on them at all.

$1: But the scandal isn't the policies, it's the attempted cover up and silencing of the inquiry and denigration of Colvin. Agreed. But in terms of optics and public opinion there's going to be a lot of outrage when it is realized that the Liberals holier-than-thou approach here constitutes lying to the public, something regarded as much worse than lying to the house which, accurate or not, is something people figure everyone does at some point. In other words, the old accusation that this is all just another faux scandal manufactured by the liberals will hurt them more than the CPC....in my opinion.

I don't care what that article says. Don't confuse me with the facts. I'm a card carrying Liberal and I'm gonna vote Liberal regardless.

There is no problem discussing blogs in the forums, the policy here is that blogs are not considered to be news items, and therefore should not be submitted as such. Blogs can either be submitted to Blogging Canadians or can be brought up in the forums. The link provided in the first post is working.

Nothing to do with CKA. There are so many forum categories, I'm a little intimidated about posting the wrong subject in the wrong category. If it really matters, how about mods just transfer posts to the proper category if necessary?

I'm a card carrying anti-Harpist, so I'll probably be voting liberal no matter what comes out in this inquiry. They'd pretty much need to have a picture of Iggy chowing down on a baby for me to change my mind. Too bad, because some of Harper's policies actually make sense to me. But I'm convinced he has an agenda to turn Canada into a neocon paradise, and I can't go for that. If he ever gets a majority and doesn't govern much differently than he does now, I'd change my mind. But quite frankly I'd be way too scared to give that a try.

If it really matters, how about mods just transfer posts to the proper category if necessary? It's not rocket science. If the blog is talking politics (left wing or right wing), post it in the politics sub-forum, if it's sports, then it goes in the sports sub-forum. When in doubt, thoss it in General Jibber Jabber. Besides, if you put it in the wrong place and someone makes a big stink about it, the mods can move it to wherever they feel it belongs anyways. BTW, I'm not trying to be snarky, just trying to help out...

Then why did Hyak not just move this post to the appropriate forum, rather than deactivating the link? I'd be interested in reading what the link has to say. $1: BTW, I'm not trying to be snarky, just trying to help out...

Because moderating is a hard thankless job that can't be done without pissing people off. $1: BTW, I'm not trying to be snarky, just trying to help out... Not kissing mod ass, just sayin'. Can we forget it and move on?
