Compared to the states, these adds look like a pillow fight.

Makes total sense to me. I expect nothing of substance and nothing close to the truth by all of them.

There's finally an election after long months of Conservative ads running down Iggy followed by patting themselves on the back repeated ad nauseam. Guess who I'm not going to vote for. XD

Well, Iggy is out of control foaming at the mouth, it does turn people off showing the Liberals as being more concerned about gaining power at any cost, rather than caring about the economy, jobs etc. etc.

The Liberal party has a good track record on the economy. The Conservatives' snap 2008 election wasn't derided as a threat to the economy, even though the coming recession was undeniable at the time. The threat to the economy is a pathetic smokescreen, and it's even more pathetic that some people actually buy it.

And how running attack ads between elections to destroy your opponent doesn't count as power hungry frothing at the mouth is beyond me...

I agree, this is all just a big bunch of BS.

Just waiting for the usual political hacks to finish
cleaning the Kleenex off the keyboards and start posting.

Well, given the number of attack ads hat both sides have rolled out since January, I'm not surprised at all.

Really? How so? Give an example of Iggy foaming at the mouth and then contrast that example with the anti-Iggy attack ads the cons have launched ever since he won the leadership of the Libs.

Seems to me the person trying to keep power at any cost is the guy betraying his Alberta core to win QC voters and the guy spending frantically in direct contrast to his fiscally conservative mantra.

Our elections down here are already getting nasty but the schaudenfreude of it is in that the worst attack material against Obama and Biden comes from...

Senator Barack Obama in 2007 Senator Barack Obama in 2007:
"The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."

Senator Joe Biden in 2007 Senator Joe Biden in 2007:
...I want to make clear and submit to the Untied States Senate pointing out the president has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran. And I want to make it clear, I want it on the record, and I want to make it clear, if he does, as chairman of the foreign relations committee and former chair of the judiciary committee, I will move to impeach him.

Dennis Kucinich (D) is threatening to run for President against Obama on the Democrat side because of his opposition to this war on Libya for the same reasons he opposed the war in Iraq. No doubt Kucinich will also make hay out of the birth certificate issue now that Donald Trump has entered the fray promising to make the birth certificate a campaign issue.

That's something I don't understand in US politics. How are they allowed to tell flagrant lies and bullshit in ads without being sued or getting a fine. Imagine Harper saying Ignatieff is really Count Chocolate and maybe a real vampire who wants to transform revoke democratic rights and bring North Koreans in Canada to save their regime.
