BluesBud BluesBud:
Ok so what is the problem here? Didn't these fools have to do these things for themselves before they got married? Did they go right from Mommies house to the family home? Come on gang, get a grip!

Ladies if this is the case then you have no one to blame but yourselves. You married the fool! Face it you settled yourself with the wrong guy

I am a single male and I am aware of how to separate the laundry. I can cook for myself and quite well I am not ashamed to add. I can darn a sock and sew a button on a shirt. Any man who can't is unprepared for the world and is shown himself off as helpless.

Right!!!
When I separated from my wife, I was 6 years living alone.
Good thing I knew how to take care of myself.
If I had not, I would have probably tried to get the first woman I met to move in with me.
Glad I waited for the love of my live who has been with me for the last 17 years.

...by the way, we share most of the housework but each have our specialties.
I do the washing, grocery shopping and most of the cooking.
She does the rest.

...I think she's kept me around because of my cooking, but I'm not complaining.

doubtful.. and since the first time i left home was when i was 15,

i can see i was doing all that stuff for myself before you.

after 25 years, i am tired of doing it.

i bought a dishwasher cause i got tired of doing the dishes.

i learned to cook cause most women i have met can't.

i still do my own damn shirts thanks..

cleaning around i leave to someone else..

Gee it's nice to have money! What's that like BTW?

(remember single man talking but....)

It seems to me a marriage (with or without kids) would work better if the load is shared. It might even bond the two of you better if these things are done together.

Not in my book. Ya need to just stay the out of my way. If I ask you to do something you sure as hell better do it.

what, to have money or a house keeper ??

money is hard work.. and years of it, too..

Housekeeper is fine... every week the apartment becomes clean like magic :)

sharing the load is fine, for shopping and things.. good idea.

having some extra help once in a while doesnt hurt either..

Still, laundry is my job, no matter how much I dislike it...

Well believe it or not, I even have an answer to that one.

If the time has come to co-habituate, You should know each others quirks well enough to know when to get out of each others way. If yo have a better way of cleaning the bathroom, Hey it's all yours. If I am better in the kitchen, then thats my domain. Communicate and work it out. All in all things work out better if you just coordinate.

OK now I just gotta know. Why the F@*k am I still single?

cause you think that idea can actually work :)

seriously, its much better than it used to be.

My father went from mommy to the army to my mother.. i am sure many others did as well.

I am different.. and so are you..

I did it because i had to, there were times i was single and it had to be done.

You think that its a part of the relationship, and thats good too.

p.s. learn to cook a couple of things really well.. girls are impressed with that :)

As far understanding each others quirks.. sorry, ive been in the game 25 years..

never happened.. just try hard not to freak out over some of the weird things she will do....

Well in my case, it is me doing the dishes, laundry etc or buy new dishes and clothes each week,......

A positive to being stuck in the house for the last month is that the kitchen and bathroom have fresh coats of paint and the rest of the house has been cleaned to within an inch of its life.
