Curt qualified his own complaint ... sanctimoanious[sic] or what?

I swear, sometimes it's like trying to nail snot to the wall.

Snot sticks on its own so stop trying.

What I mean is that you never need to prove that someone is an idiot because they always manage to prove it for you themselves.

For the longest time here we've had Black History Month celebrated every year (usually in February). Never heard of Islamic History Month till now with the Manitoba Islamic History Month. Islam is relatively new in Canada, thus not much of a history to celebrate.

Too bad though. I'll bet that if they were to celebrate Islamic History Month here, they'd have lots of customs/rituals to showcase (like belly dancing). Let us not forget the food. Lots of mouth watering Middle Eastern/Persian foods that is. There's Afghan Kabli Pulao (a lamb and rice dish mixed with lentils, raisins and carrots), Beef Fatayer (a delicious meat pie with filling that includes ground beef, onions, parsley, tomato paste, salt, red & black pepper, pine nuts and vegetable oil), Kofta (extra fine ground beef mixed with onions, salt and pepper grilled on a stick - this is great served on a hot dog bun), and my personal favorite, grilled tenderloin meat on a stick (Shish Kebab).

The list goes on and on and on ... :)

I would hope it goes on and on, because the list of Muslim countries goes on and on.

$1:
According to the Pew Research Center in 2010 there were 49 Muslim-majority countries.[10] Around 62% of the world's Muslims live in South and Southeast Asia, with over 1 billion adherents.[11] The largest Muslim country is Indonesia, home to 12.7% of the world's Muslims, followed by Pakistan (11.0%), India (10.9%), and Bangladesh (9.2%).

And that's just the beginning. You need to check out the full list at Wikipedia.

What's the cuisine like in Kosovo for example?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... population

But yeah a Middle Eastern month might be cool too. But what do you think the odds are of that happening? There would be Jews.

but when you say "we are", you are talking about the present.

It's an analogy comparing European western immigrants of the past (we), and the eastern immigrants of today. It was in response to this:

$1:
It's what every immigrant group has done.

That was completely untrue. You and I are here speaking English as a result of our forefathers NOT doing that.

So argue your semantics all you like. If you think someone called you an immigrant, then so be it. Enjoy your self proclaimed victim status.

And which of the myriad of Native languages do you think they would have ended up speaking otherwise?
You are also confusing immigration with colonization. While the two are not dissimilar, there is a distinct difference. Why do you think so many East Indians in India can speak English?

 Pretty weak dude.
