If Harper did get a majority his true vicious right wing thinking would stun the canadian people.........The only way he can be trusted is having the other leaders have the ability to control him in some way..............The people of Canada dont want a election right now,but they also dont want a con majority............

:!: Don't bet on that. Some of us out here in WESTERN Canada are completely comfortable with the thought of a Conservative Party Majority government. In fact, we will continue to work like hell to achieve it. [flag]

Well put. We have the right to vote for any party that catches our fancy, be it federalist, Quebec or Alberta separatist, the Christian Heritage Party, etc, etc.

The moment the state starts deciding which party meets some arbitrary criteria to run candidates is the day we are no better than Iran.

No problem. AS long as they run candidates NATIONALLY for a National Parliament! Otherwise they are not a national party but a regional or provincial one. JMO.

Seems like I'm always voting for the lesser of the evils. I don't see any of them as working for the people so I'm caught voting for the party I feel will do the least harm to any or all of us.

What are you going on about? I merely question the validity of your post claiming that you spoke for the Canadian people.

Where's the intimidation or bullying? This is a forum where we debate issues.

There probably won't be a majority, Québec will see to that, but it just may be a liberal one :)

That's wishing quite a lot Kenny  , Lib minority is MUCH more likely. Although its just as bad as a Con minority.

Well ya,, but I really don't think you could have a worse government than harpers..
tory times are tuff times... and thats the way its been since I was a kid.. its proven in the history books.... I kinda wish there was a real alternative to what we have now..

If the cons loose and become the opposition again, it will be the same as what we have now, except Harper will be the new Dion. Which I suppose will be the silver lining in any outcome of this election (if it happens). If the Libs loose they might look for a new leader, if the Cons do it they would likely have to do the same. I just want a majority government in parliament, and see that its more likely to be conservative than Liberal.

I can definitely see Harper losing his job if he doesn't get a majority, but Iggy should survive as long as he doesn't fall prey to foot in mouth disease. The biggest key for the Libs is to shift well away from Dion's policy platform and come up with something far more centrist.
