Canada's 'Own the Podium' was no different from Australia's funding prior tor the Sydney Games or China's prior to the Beijing Games.

It only makes sense to want your athletes to do well when you host the Olympics.

The Brits spent all their time looking down their noses at us but what can we expect from a country whose diplomats have been reported in the past to do nothing but gossip about our politicans and complain about how quaint we are.
