Yup. Spineless pratt probably saw last week's poll numbers, and latched on to the Manley decision as a convenient smokescreen.

Might as well call this parliament a Harper majority as long as Dion's at the helm of the Liberals...

What somewhat baffles me is that no-one especially the press has any idea as to the real contents of the Speech From The throne.

All this polical maneuvering/posturing is really based upon specualtion. It is a game of brinksmanship that the Tories appear to be winning.

I speculate that the Speech from The throne is being revised on a daily basis.

You may very well be right.

My position is that on account of that possibility, and on account of Harper's general behaviour of late, the opposition parties should simply use this as a convenient, fast confidence motion with which to bring the Conservatives down, no matter what it says.

Funny I heard today that the NDP and Bloc wont be supporting it... Even though it hasn't been realeased yet.

They heard it and they don't like it. The Liberals don't like it either but they know they won't survive an election. Dion believes he's a leader and if he says no, a lot of other Liberals are really going to be pissed off when they lose their seats.
I don't think the Liberals have ever been in a worst condition for an election.

Maybe some of the retiring CPC MP's suddenly have a problem and vote no too.

Where exactly was Steffi? I mean the Bloc had Gilles out there for the standard how wrong the CPC got it and the Dippers had Jack out there for the same purpose. But the Liberals send out Iggy? Has Stef just decided to hand over power now?
