Looks like the season for liberals to double-down on ignorance of their own, especially when it comes to firearms. Biden also started mouthing off again recently about another "assault weapons" ban too. In an era of heightened anger and violence is it really that wise to talk about disarming when the enemy is armed to their fucking teeth, won't co-operate in the slightest with any ban, and are just itching for the other side to give them another excuse to act even worse & to go from just threatening terrorism to actively engaging in it? What is it with liberals in power, do they think something like the Capitol Hill insurrection was just a one-off, that it won't happen again because Trump's no longer on Twitter?

Jesus Christ, liberals, grow up about firearms already. They aren't that scary. And the way things are going it's probably not a good idea to ban something that you yourselves are probably going to need someday for when the other side goes from loud talk to active attacks. Time to start living in the world that exists instead of more nonsense about the world that you want to have.

Yammering about gun bans, especially when there's no chance of it passing in Congress, just gives them more fuel for their constantly burning bonfire of batshit crazy. Even more so when dimwits like Beto O'Rourke were openly going on about actual confiscations during his own goofball presidential run. This is the sort of thing that gets cops or FBI agents killed, because those guys are the first ones to encounter the psychos when they're all revved up again about the black helicopters coming to get them. Do any sort of ban and this time around it will exponentially increase the violence, not reduce it.

not sure how this will keep these 'assault' weapons off the street, when you LET the owners KEEP them even if they cannot use them. Proof right there that the legit owners of these firearms are not the issue.

Now the municipal handgun ban, won't pass any constitutional challenge. Lets hope there is an election soon and all of the liberal bills will die before being passed.

I suppose but let's be honest here. Most Canadian's would back a New Zeeland approach to gun laws at this point. Most of the hard core gun owners will never support that but they are in an extreme minority.

But they could try an automatic non-appealable no-plea bargainable consecutive 10 year sentence for being caught with an unlocked or loaded handgun in your car.
