Sounds like the smart thing to do would have been to let the Taliban keep them. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/10/12 ... ptors.html$1: The daring plan to bring home an American woman and her family from Afghanistan, where they were held captive by a Taliban-affiliated group, appeared to hit a snag Thursday, with officials telling Fox News the woman's husband is refusing to board a plane out of the Middle East.
Caitlan Coleman, 32, was seven months pregnant when she and her husband, Josh Boyle, were abducted in Afghanistan in 2012 by the Haqqani network. The couple and their three children -- all of whom were born in captivity -- were freed Thursday in a "negotiated release," an official told Fox News.
The family has "been essentially living in a hole for 5 years," White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told reporters Thursday.
But Boyle is refusing to board an American military plane in Pakistan waiting to take them home, fearing he'll be arrested, a U.S. official said. Some officials say Roberts is fearful of perhaps being sent to Guantanamo Bay, based off his background.
Boyle was previously married to the sister of Omar Khadr, a Canadian man who spent 10 years at Guantanamo Bay after being captured in 2002 in a firefight at an Al Qaeda compound in Afghanistan.
The Canadian-born Khadr was 15 in 2002 when he tossed a grenade in a firefight that killed U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Speer, a special forces medic. Yes, allowing the Khadr's into our country was a real victory for Canada's immigration system.

There's really no end to the lost national honour and money wasted thanks entirely to Chretien's moronic crusade to Pakistan to save the elder Khadr from the bullet in the back of the neck he entirely deserved that the Pakistani military were going to give him.
It ain't over yet either. L'il Omar, his sisters, and/or his running buddies are going to do something terrible in this country one day. And when it happens the dipshits that have defended him still won't have the decency to admit that it'll be their actions on the Khadr's behalf that are to blame.

This couple sounds like a real pair of winners. Who goes backpacking in Afghanistan anyway? And this guy was once married to Khadr's sister? Who would marry an Islamist extremist? Has this guy ever held a job? I'm thinking probably not.

$1: “Please don’t become the next Jimmy Carter,” Coleman said in the 2016 video, reading a prepared statement and making a plea to former President Barack Obama. So we get this terrorist wannabe lover back, great. Thanks, Trump.

To my knowledge non-Muslims cannot marry Muslim women unless they convert or the woman keeps her head waaaaay down.

Why would somebody 'defending' Khadr have to get roped into automatically doing the same for his sisters as well? I haven't seen too many going that route.

It used to be a place to go. Likewise Iran. My English high school used to organize trips there before the Revolution.

In Edmonton Omar is treated like a hero, it's F**king pathetic.

Going by the photos the period in captivity helped him lose a lot of weight. Hmmm, maybe I should go for a hike in Khandahar this winter....... Boyle's a real treat. Going by the eyes and the beard of the complete devotee I imagine his name will pop up almost immediately when someone blows up a Toronto subway train someday. In the meantime he's looking to score some of those sweet, sweet hostage reward dollars because he's yelling through the media already about the Canadian government demanding money from the Afghan government for all the "suffering" and such he and his brood went through over in the motherland. Will he score the same totally pro $10 mil his former bro-in-law L'il Omar did courtesy of the endlessly dopey Canadian taxpayer and govt? The world wonders.......
