BREAKING NEWS: Fire breaks out again at 5:45 a.m. at Fukushima's No. 4 reactor

Tepco has confirmed that a fire broke out at reactor four in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Smoke is pouring from the reactor, a spokesman told reporters.

Japanese news agency Kyodo reports that the storage pool in reactor four - where the spent fuel rods are kept - may be boiling. Tepco says readings are showing high levels of radiation in the building, so it is inaccessible. Radiation levels had fallen late on Tuesday but remained abnormal.


So they know its burning, they think the water in the pool is boiling off,
but they can't do anything about it.

Ummm I think you've confused knots with kilometres when you read the article on its specs. It's top speed is slightly over 30 knots per hour(which is very fast for a ship that size) which works out to about 56 kph- kilometres per hour.

All Air traffic has been diverted 20K away, with 6 reactors "having difficulties". and one on Fire No.4 however they suspect it's only an oil fire, as they put it. All experts in this matter agree if in 24hrs the situation isn't Fixed, complete meltdown of the cores.

The media, people, are saying the Canadian reactors are safer than the Japanese and they didn't foolishly build them on a major fault line. Fair enough. However the Pickering station in Ontario was located right inside city limits. That is it was built right in the heart of the Toronto suburbs. Not too good planning. I think there are some 6 reactors there still running. Six. Nuclear reactors should be located in the countryside.
